2010 CIS Purchase Offer Program

This year, instead of a share program that made you wait until you received your order to know what you had purchased, we think we have a better plan. With the help of Mid-America Garden we have available to offer a selection of new 2010 introductions and relatively new years (2007 – 2009) at a great bargain prices. You can see these irises on the Web at www.mid-americagarden.com

The detail listing of the items on offer is provided below. This program helps support the activity and function of the Canadian Iris Society (CIS) and its registered affiliates, a further plus is that you get yourself some very nice flowers at the same time too!

For 2010 the local iris sales will also take place as they have in previous years.
These iris sale events are open to the public.
We invite you to attend the 2010 annual CIS Iris Sale in August 2010 (detail below) or another iris sale in your local area. See the section directly below for more details.  Dates, times and location to be confirmed by organizers. A reminder to attend one of our annual iris sales/auctions coming up in 2010. You do not have to be a CIS member to attend one of these sales. These sales are open to the public. We welcome you to attend our sales/auction. Come out, say hello and pick up some really excellent high quality irises at one of these events. The plants on offer are American Iris Society (AIS) registered and named iris cultivars. Ask us about the iris for sale or feel free to ask iris growing questions and we'll be glad to advise and help. See you there.

12th Annual Rare and Unusual Plant Sale,
Sponsor: Friends of the Central Experimental Farm
Neatby Building, Central Experimental Farm on Carling Avenue in Ottawa.
Time: 9am - 1pm
Admission: Donation to the Food Bank or $5.00. This plant sale has been very successful over the years for all of the local plant societies. This year we will have a large volume of very modern median iris suitable for rock garden plantings, all overwintered in 4" pots. Prices will be $5.00 or 5 for $20.00. Larger containers remain at $8.00 or 3 for $20.00

(CIS) Canadian Iris Society Iris Sale + CIS Annual General Meeting (AGM)
We welcome you to attend our sale. Come out, say hello and pick up some really excellent high quality irises at this event. The plants on offer are only American Iris Society (AIS) registered and named iris cultivars. Ask us about the iris that are for sale or feel free to ask iris growing questions and we'll be glad to advise and help.

The CIS Iris Sale is held as a fund raiser for the CIS and the sale is open to the public. The CIS relies on the generous donations from members of registered AIS iris varieties for this CIS iris sale. Please ensure that the iris brought for the sale/exchange/trade are correctly named AIS registered iris cultivars only please. Donations of sale iris are gladly received. These will be top quality rhizomes that would be shipped directly to you!
The plants on offer are American Iris Society (AIS) registered and named iris cultivars. Each will be clearly labeled and ready to pop into your garden. We will provide you with the info on the expected time of arrival once we have that information, but it will likely be near the end of July.

The plants listed below will be sold on a first come first served basis to CIS Members. Place your order by e-mail, phone, or postal mail. If a plant is sold out we will notify you by phone or e-mail so you have a chance to change your order or cancel. All payments must be received by the end of July before any shipment will be made. Make your cheque or money order payable to Canadian Iris Society.
